Goals
- Provide a platform for local residents to share their memories, hopes and aspirations for the future of Elephant and Castle.
- Contribute to Latin Elephant‘s ongoing research, informing future initiatives aimed at supporting the Elephant and Castle community.
Approach
The workshop was held as part of Latin Elephant’s 10th anniversary celebration.
Interactive activities, including postcard creation and discussions facilitated by Liana created a space for sharing. The participants, which included children, expressed their desire to preserve the neighbourhood’s character, including its unique businesses, cultural heritage and community spirit.
The workshop revealed a need for more green and play spaces, community gathering areas, and events that promote cultural exchange, particularly through food sharing.
